MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The worldwide success of his career has seen him enter mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In 2017, he dropped ADN which was his debut long-player in the name of La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the rank of eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. He also collaborated with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. Later in 2021 he was featured on a duet TINI on her smash streaming single Maldita Foto. In 2023, the year 2000, the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into an musical family. His younger brother and his mother are each musicians. Interviews with him have described participating in music as compulsory. When he was young, he instructed to play the saxophone, piano as well as guitar. His first choice of career was to become veterinarian, his brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons with the famous Cuban.
